Situated in
a protected lagoon the hotel has 80 acres of exquisite gardens with three
separate beaches. The Shandrani is 45 minutes from the capital, Port
Louis, but is only 4 miles from the airport so transfer time is only
10 minutes.

Guests can
choose to dine in 2 restaurants. Le Grand-Port is the main restaurant
overlooking the bay and the pool, serving tropical American breakfasts
(from pancakes to fruit to cooked breakfasts). À la Carte lunches with
local specialities and a variety of themed buffets, à la carte and table
d'hôte dinners.
Outside Restaurant
Le Sirius
is a grill restaurant and bar, located in a romantic setting, on one
of Shandrani's three beaches specialising in seafood, grills and salad
lunches.
La Cambuse
is an intimate restaurant located on the site of the first hotel in Mauritius,
with views of the sea and the beautiful gardens. It is open from Tuesday
to Saturday. Try the delicious selection of pancakes on offer at Le Blue
Bay bar, an ideal alternative to lunch. Tea, coffee and cakes are also
available.
Entertainment
Evening activities
are varied with a band, cabaret shows and Sega folk dancing. Daytime
sporting facilities are extensive.
Most entertainment
and sporting facilities are free and there are resident instructors should
you wish to learn or improve. If this isn't enough to keep you busy there
are beautiful gardens bursting with tropical trees and flowers for you
to explore.
Leisure time
You could
also try a glass bottom boat, kayaks, hobicats, lasers, pedaloes, or
workout in the gym followed by a relaxing sauna. There are numerous excursions
organised for your stay or you could try out a Mountain Biking trip in
the surrounding forests or along the coast. Scuba-diving
is a special attraction in the waters around this coastline, the sessions
you pay for locally - which includes the hire of the scuba-equipment

Shandrani boasts some of the largest and attractive
rooms to be found on the island, each one no more than 20 metres from
the beach, spacious well appointed resort, gorgeous beach we highly recommend
the Shandrani especially for families.
